PRIVACY AND DATA USE
Use the public support experience without building a profile about yourself.
Aurora is designed to collect less, not to turn sensitive help-seeking into a behavioural dataset. The current public support journey does not require an Aurora account.
WHAT THE CURRENT SITE DOES
Keep support context local and temporary.
- A broad support choice may be kept in browser session storage so the next support screen can remain relevant.
- The choice is not placed in the page URL and is not sent to Aurora as a profile attribute.
- Resetting the journey or using Quick exit clears that temporary Aurora support choice.
- Support-service comparison exists only in the current page state and is not saved to an Aurora profile.
WHAT INFRASTRUCTURE MAY STILL PROCESS
A website cannot make the network disappear.
- Hosting, security and delivery infrastructure can process ordinary request metadata needed to serve and protect the site.
- Your browser, device, network provider or managed device may retain records outside Aurora's control.
- Opening an external service takes you to that service's own systems and privacy practices.
- Quick exit changes what is on screen; it cannot promise to erase browser, device or network history.
DESIGN BOUNDARIES
Sensitive help-seeking should not become advertising or institutional surveillance.
No behavioural advertising
Aurora's support journey is not designed to create advertising audiences from sensitive support interests.
No paid ranking of support
An institution or partner funding Aurora should not buy a higher position in a person's support options.
Institutional reporting stays separate
Private browsing of support information is not an employer, school or university performance dataset.
Collect more only for a defined purpose
Future account, community or professional features require their own purpose, retention, access and safeguarding controls before launch.
CURRENT PUBLIC EXPERIENCE
Privacy claims should match what the product actually does.
This page describes the current public Aurora experience. Any future feature that changes data collection, identity, retention or sharing must update the applicable notice and pass privacy review before release.
