LANGUAGE & ACCESS
Designed for the local context
Primary presentation languages: Malayalam, English.
Aurora only states a helpline's spoken-language availability when the responsible authority confirms it.
INDIA · LAKSHADWEEP
Lakshadweep's geography changes the support journey. Medical evacuation, disaster response, shipping and local administration cannot be reduced to a Kavaratti address. Aurora starts with UT-wide help, then keeps island-specific disaster and transport contacts attached to the island that actually owns them.
LOCAL CONTEXT
Lakshadweep is a single Union Territory spread across inhabited islands where sea state, vessel availability, weather and distance from Kavaratti materially change how a person reaches help. Aurora therefore treats the user's island as operational context, not decoration: UT-wide helplines come first, while disaster contacts, port offices and ship ticketing are resolved to the relevant island or mainland gateway.

Aurora only states a helpline's spoken-language availability when the responsible authority confirms it.
ROUTING
The current UT portal publishes 102/108 for ambulance, 101 for Fire and Rescue, 1091 for women and 1098 for children.
The official disaster-management page publishes separate precedence contacts for Kavaratti, Agatti, Minicoy, Kalpeni, Kadmat, Amini, Kiltan, Chetlat, Androth and Bitra.
Port, Shipping & Aviation describes passenger ships as a lifeline and publishes separate island and mainland ticketing counters; transport routing therefore depends on the island and intended journey.
NALSA lists a dedicated Lakshadweep State Legal Services Authority in Kavaratti, while 15100 remains the national legal-aid fallback.
TRUST BOUNDARY
Aurora will not present Kavaratti as the practical local destination for a person on another island when a phone or island-level route exists.
Island-specific disaster, port and ticketing contacts are not copied across islands.
Named officials and personal mobile numbers on emergency rosters are treated as volatile evidence and require re-verification before being promoted as direct user channels.
Malayalam and English are presentation priorities; spoken-language availability for an individual operator is not inferred.
SUPPORT OPTIONS
UT-wide services remain visible, but island-specific emergency, shipping and ticketing contacts are kept local rather than flattened into one generic list.
The current Lakshadweep Administration portal publishes 102 and 108 for ambulance and 101 for Fire and Rescue. Aurora keeps these as UT-level first routes while island-specific disaster and administrative contacts remain local.

Lakshadweep's official disaster-management page publishes separate emergency contacts for Kavaratti, Agatti, Minicoy, Kalpeni, Kadmat, Amini, Kiltan, Chetlat, Androth and Bitra, plus Collectorate and maritime-response contacts. A Kavaratti, Agatti or Minicoy contact must not be silently reused for another island. Named-officer mobile numbers on the official source are treated as volatile and should be reverified before publication as direct channels.
Sea and air connectivity are part of the practical support environment in Lakshadweep. The Administration describes government passenger ships as the lifeline between mainland and islands and publishes island-specific ticket counters. Aurora treats schedules, island connections and ticketing contacts as location-dependent transport support, not emergency services.
